Empire Drone was contracted by Deveron UAS, one of the largest agricultural imaging companies in North American, to map 14,000 acres of farmland in Upstate, NY using a multispectral sensor.

Once the multispectral images were obtained, Empire Drone then processed the data into NDVI maps. NDVI maps identify areas of plant stress. Growers are then able to direct their chemical applicators to target only the areas of the field in need.

Precision agricultural workflows such as this lower material and labor costs, reduce environmental run-off, and minimize employee exposure to potential harmful chemicals.
